Peridot Anniversary

Thursday, April 28, 2011

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary, Jam and May!

So after a hectically bustling millennia, I'm taking time out to write today! Yehey! Jam and May are having their 1st Wedding Anniversary today! And I wanted to take this opportunity to thank them in my own small way by writing this entry.

Friendships are always tangible, yet most are plausible or superficial. And in my lifetime, I am glad that I had the chance to meet these two people who really make a positive impact not only to me but to the people who surround them as well.

I can count with my fingers the people who always see the best in me, and who always believed I can do great things despite the frustrations and failures I harbor. And they're two of those.

People say that, the best things in life are free. And I believe that to be true, because their friendship came with no price tag, no conditions and no motives. Just plain, pure priceless treasure I'd describe as like a beautiful peridot gem I'll hold close with me for a long long long time.

And what a treat it is for me to be their business partner! When it rains blessings, it really pours. I'm blessed. And I feel lucky for having known you guys who personify the definition of passion, patience, and real hardwork.

Congratulations on your 1st Wedding Anniversary. May God shower you both with a lot more blessings of good health, fortune and many more anniversaries to come!

God bless!

You Were There

This one's for a dear friend. Thank you so much for the friendship. Spread your wings, God will be there to provide the wind for you to soar. God bless. We'll miss you...

Fun Night

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

My throat is sore. But I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner date with Chai2x. I'm envious of her Iligan experience with Sir Rey, Glen and Sharon.

She put on some pounds. Obviously, they've been pampered... too much. Haha..

She was working yet it seemed like she was on vacation, while I was in Manila, supposedly vacationing but was stressed out! Lol.

She'll continue training at the center tomorrow and I know she's excited about something, 'gettting to know each other' Lol Chai! That was funny.

Amidst crisis and confusion, it's always good to have friends to hang out with, talk about senseless things and just 'relax', not let life pull you down. Friends are who make life less critical. Treasure the friends who love and truly care for you, and forget about the crocodiles and let them eat each other alive.

Thanks for a wonderful evening Chai! =)

Unexpected

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Today at work, was full of surprises. Some pleasant, but mostly sad. I have the tendency to be forgetful so instead of starting from what happened this morning, I'll start from what happened latest and go backwards.

Glendale treated me out to a nice dinner date tonight. Sisig at Butcher's is still the best for me. We ordered that, so I enjoyed tremendously. Yet Glen hardly touched her food. She was upset about her failed relationship. Apparently, her boyfriend and her, had decided to end things up, for the mean time.

She's had started to work full time as an English teacher, along with Sharon. Needless to say, I'm missing them both now that they're not working with the center anymore. But it was good to see them both visiting in the late afternoon.

And then I saw an unfamiliar face. And he was seated at my table! I didn't want to ask immediately and appear like suspicious Bob, but after awhile of "catching up" conversation with Francis and Ma'am Maci, I casually asked Ma'am Maci who he was.

Apparently, the center has a new account and he's the new supervisor. I didn't mind that. But after he left, when I opened the drawers of my table, it was just a complete mess. There were candy wrappers, used cottons, papers, and empty chewing gum containers. I had to take those out. It made a bad start of my return, bad start of the week and bad start of the day!

Then right before I started working, just after all the night shiftees left, I looked around. Ma'am Hope wasn't there. I'm not sure why she didn't report today. Ma'am Shing wasn't there either.

Except for Ronald sweeping the floor, it was just me. And my dusty table. I could not believe, how much things changed in the one month that I wasn't around.

The operations floor looked longer and wider than it used to. And the lights seemed dim. And I only hear the barren sound of the aircondition behind me. Ma'am Cuki's "sayaw-sayaw" songs weren't there to break the silence.

There was no Sharon dancing and singing around, nor Glendale laughing, no jokes from Sir Rey, no petty annoyances from Chai2x.

I didn't think all these mattered when they were still there. But today, I realized, these are the people who made work fun and worthwhile for me. And I miss them. I was sad. And for a brief moment, I hoped for just a while, for things to go back to how they were.

I was sad. I wasn't prepared for that. It was unexpected.

But the work goes on. And so does life.

This life takes away everything from you whenever it has the chance. You realize it too late. That is why we have to make each day as important as our last. Coz we never know when the last days are going to be.

Perhaps Love

Friday, November 27, 2009

I don't think there's ever a perfect definition of love, simply because a person's definition of it changes along with time. Personally now, I would define it as, a feeling of closeness with profound care for another.

But that's just me.

In this song, entitled, Perhaps Love, love is defined as how others briefly perceive it. Some definitions are vague, some strong and direct; one of which could be your definition of love too. The beauty of the song lies in the line, "my memories of love, will be of you..."

This John Denver classic is an all-time favorite of many, including me, of course. This one I made was a duet between Jan Smit and Met Paul De Leeuw. I was mystified to read Jan Smit's name written as "John Smit" towards the end of the vid. Sorry about that typo. I should be more careful next time.

Enjoy the vid! =)
