  • Author's Note

The term 'amalgamation' pertains to a combination of two or more. This is a personal blog which is a combination of musings of my activities, thoughts, inspirations, ideas, and everything that happens around me.

  • Be inspired, have peace of mind

As a personal blog, there are articles written not just for the sole intention of writing but are also directed to share experiences to uplift and inspire the downtrodden.

  • Love, love, love

There's beauty in everything. Be filled with love as you listen to love songs you may want to sing along with.

  • Tragedies and Disasters

Life isn't always about fun and happiness. Get a glimpse of me as I speak my mind about tragedies, disasters, and pains.

  • Hope

Life won't have meaning if everyone turns blind and start to see no hope. There is always hope, just waiting to be lit. Read through articles filled with hope.

  • Movies and so much more!

Occasionally, I'm inclined to write reviews for movies, places, restos, or just about anything. Watch out for those cutting remarks! =)

  • Journey

Hey, life's a journey. What better way to immortalize oneself than through writing?

  • Share your thoughts!

I would greatly appreciate it if you shared your thoughts with me. Please feel free to leave messages at the comments box below each post. Thanks!

A Mother's Love

Qinghai-China Earthquake

I do not reblog posts, but I'll make an exception on this one. This story is taken from the web site - www.ourecho.com, also available on many other websites. They claim it to be a true story, but who knows for sure? The only reason I'm sharing this, is for the moral value that can be taken from it.

This is a true story of a mother’s sacrifice during the China earthquake. After the earthquake had subsided, the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.

With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.

He and the rest of the team left the house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reason, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruined house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his hands through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement, "A child! There is a child!" The whole team worked together. Carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman.

There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.

The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said, "If you can survive, you must remember that I love you."

This cell phone was passed around from one hand to another. Everybody that read the message wept. "If you can survive, you must remember that I love you." Such is the mother’s love for her child!
Give your mom and dad a big hug after reading this. They'd do the same for you, for sure.
